Before creating a video, you need to plan out what you want the final product to be. In the storyboarding stage, students plan out what camera angles they will use, sound effects, special directions, edits and more BEFORE filming.
Students will learn how to use DSLR cameras, tripods, microphones and all the techniques they need to film a high quality video.
Students will learn how to edit on iMacs using Final Cut Pro, a software used by professionals (don't worry, it's not difficult!), one example of a film produced with this software (though an older version) is "The Social Network"(2010), a film we will be viewing in class! Students will learn the tools, transitions, transformations, etc. of the software and be proficient in editing by the end of the course.
